Capabilities Statement
Background
Hoover Enterprises, Inc. (HEI) was founded in 1999 to fill a need in the Wireless Communications industry. Hoover Enterprises is a small business with a core competency that provides turnkey solutions to poor In-Building wireless reception and data networking through the use of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). These solutions are customized for the needs of the individual client and include selection of the optimum broadband Bi-directional Amplifier (BDA), coaxial or fiber optic transmission lines, CAT5E/6, power dividers, and antennas.
Wireless Telecommunications
Our services have been used to enhance signal strength in campus environments and malls as well as inside buildings thus providing seamless operation to subscribers for voice and data. In this regard, we are authorized subcontractors to all major telecommunications carriers.
But we have not limited ourselves to the cellular industry. We have also successfully deployed a Public Safety System enhancement for a major university in Southern California. This type of installation is now expanding rapidly in Orange County and other municipalities since 911 and we have deployed several systems.
Turnkey Solution
Site-Survey
The site survey is used to evaluate the RF environment inside and outside the facility and to determine structural challenges, building codes and property management requirements. Future requirements are taken into consideration to ensure that the proper system architecture is utilized.
Design
HEI subcontractor design engineers utilize the facility's floor plans and data from a pre-installation survey to create a detailed system design from a computer-generated model that predicts the RF propagation within the facility. A link budget is also included with the design that depicts power levels throughout the system, identifies cable routes and equipment locations, and provides an uplink noise analysis. Typical systems are designed to achieve a -85 dBm or better throughout 95% of the required coverage area unless otherwise specified.
Installation
HEI's approach to each installation is to treat the facility as if it was our own. HEI works closely with the local wireless service provider representative and facility manager to complete a successful installation. The HEI guarantees ensure that the system will meet all of the RF performance and construction requirements.
Non-Wireless Installation
HEI has successfully completed many projects where only hard wiring is required. We provide installation, testing, and documentation of ISP copper and fiber.
Commissioning, Baseline & CW Testing
The forte of HEI is in the RF area. We have an extensive background in RF testing and repair. This includes over thirty years experience in working closely with engineers to design, modify, test, and perfect new and existing RF systems in many different environments. Additionally we have performed numerous repairs, Commissioning, Baseline and CW Testing for clients.
Project Management
HEI's team of professionals will ensure that your in-building project(s) are completed on time and within budget. This includes scheduling, procurement, construction approvals, safety and security clearance, system optimization and other requirements as determined by all parties involved.
Post-Installation Analysis
After the system has been installed, HEI will take measurements to ensure that the Distributed Antenna System (DAS) meets FCC regulations, wireless service provider standards and customer performance criteria. HEI has developed a set of testing guidelines for the optimization of each system. Typically, the size and complexity of the system will dictate certain testing parameters. At a minimum, RSSI, and Transmit power measurements are made to verify coverage as well as serving site ID in donor cell implementations.
Record Keeping
Once a system is initialized and approved by all applicable parties, "as-built" documentation is provided. From inception to optimization, all documents created for this project are stored in an active archive for your reference.
Maintenance/Service
HEI offers several services and maintenance options allowing customers to determine their required level of support.
